Emory Sound Collective

The Emory Sound Collective is a new initiative of the Department of Music at Emory University dedicated to adventurous programming, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and the cultivation of new voices in contemporary music. Under the artistic direction of Lina Andonovska, the ensemble explores bold works of the 20th and 21st centuries alongside fresh commissions, with an emphasis on community, exploration, and experimentation. The group has so far collaborated with the musicians of 4 time Grammy Award-winning Ensemble Eighth Blackbird, as well as Dr. Stuart Gerber (Bent Frequency) and rising stars of the contemporary classical world Sputterbox.
